Early Childhood

To meet the needs of our families in the community, Linton offers a half-day and full-day classroom. Our classrooms are integrated with general education students and special education students who qualify for these services. Students can begin their preschool adventure at the age of 3. We partner with other special service providers in our school such as speech language therapist, occupational therapist, and physical therapist. Weekly, we have a music therapy session partnering with Foundations Music School.

Our curriculum, Creative Curriculum, is student interest based. Our typical day is consistent of large group, center time, outside play/gross motor activities, small group learning, read aloud and mealtimes. The full day classroom does take a nap during our day. Much of our learning takes place during our play time. We focus as a team on following the lead of student with many hands-on learning activities.  Our classroom ratio is 1;8, with a classroom group size that does not exceed 16 students.
We have a four-day school week which is Monday-Thursday.  Full day class time is 8:50-3:40 and the students are provided breakfast and lunch. The morning half day class time is 8:50-12:20 and these students are provided breakfast. The afternoon half day class is 1:05-3:40 and these students are provided lunch.
