Hi there! Here is a little bit about me...

I was born and raised in Fort Collins. I went to school at Shepardson Elementary, Boltz Middle School, Fort Collins High School and Colorado State University. Both of my parents taught in Poudre School District and my daughter is a 9th grader at Poudre High School as well! As you have probably guessed, my love for this town and this school community runs deep.

I have taught for 21 years. I started my career at Cache La Poudre Elementary School where I taught for four years. I have been teaching at Linton for 17 years now! Most of my years have been spent teaching third grade. I love the students and the subject matter at this grade level. Third graders are curious, kindhearted, silly, and natural explorers! They are a lot like cats...and (as most of my colleagues and former students know) I LOVE CATS...ha! There is a certain kind of magic that happens in third grade. Students shift from learning to read to reading to learn. Third graders gain more independence in their abilities as students and ask wonderful questions about the world around them. It is my great privilege to help guide them at this stage in their journey as learners.

Outside of teaching I enjoy watching my daughter perform at her dance recitals, going on hikes, kayaking, reading, attending music festivals, helping my parents in their vineyard, and (of course) herding cats.
