Teaching Experience:

I have taught at the elementary level since 1991....in Iowa, Minnesota, and Colorado. I have taught 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, Title Reading and Math, and K-1, 2-3 and 4-5 combined enrichment/intervention classes. I was the Interim Principal at Shepardson Elementary before joining Linton in 2007.

Hobbies & Interests:

I love being involved in public education at the local, state, and national level. I serve as the President of the Poudre Association of School Executives, serve on the board for the Colorado Association of Elementary School Principals having also served as Secretary and President, and am the state of Colorado representative for the National Association of Elementary School Principals.  That said, the most important work I do is at Linton. When I am not working, I love spending time with my family. My son is a CSU graduate and lives and works in Timnath. My daughter just graduated from UNC and is teaching 3rd grade at Lopez Elementary. We enjoy traveling, doing anything outside, and spending time with my parents who live right down the street. We are CRAZY about the Iowa Hawkeyes and still attend several football games in Iowa City each fall. If we aren't going......we are watching! I also really enjoy swimming, playing with our dogs, and cooking.  I spend a lot of time catching up on reading in the summer. You will never find me scrapbooking or doing anything that involves snakes.

Favorite Starbucks Drink:

Venti Skinny Carmel Machiatto.....Skim Pumpkin Spice Latte.......Skim Gingerbread Latte........really, almost anything. If I have a coffee in hand, I also will be smiling. :)

About My Classroom:

I have 350 students, prek-5, in my classroom! I am LUCKY.
