Hello! This is my 8th year in education, and my first year teaching 2nd grade! I have spent my prior experience in Greeley teaching 3rd and 5th grade and serving as an instructional coach.
Growing up, my mom was an educator. From a young age, I helped her organize her library, put up bulletin boards, and graded my fair share of school work before I even graduated high school. During my senior year, I had the opportunity to volunteer during my off periods. I chose to spend these hours volunteering in my mom's classroom. I always had an inkling that I wanted to be a teacher, and this experience solidified that education was my calling.
I attended UNC and obtained my Elementary Education degree in 2014. Shortly after starting my career, I decided I wanted to get my master's degree in Educational Leadership, and graduated in 2018.
I believe that every child deserves to be treated respectfully and with kindness. Everybody brings differences to our classroom; I will honor, support, and celebrate these differences. I believe differences are our superpowers, and we can move mountains when they are fostered.
